Travel Lodge Sheffield
When it comes to which Travel Lodge, Sheffield you choose to
stay in you have two options available to you. The first
known as the Central Hotel is located close to the centre of the
city whilst the Richmond Hotel is on the outskirts of the
town.
But whichever one you do decide to stay in you know that the
accommodation is of a pretty good standard and is
comfortable. Certainly for a weekend break this kind of
accommodation is suitable and will not break the
bank.
Over the weekend that you visit Sheffield there are plenty of
things that one can do and see whilst there. In the town
itself you have Castle Market, The Crucible Theatre and the
Cathedral Church of St Marie. Whilst a short distance by car
from the town is Beauchief Abbey and which overlooks the Municipal
Golf Course and also Parkbank Wood.
The Castle Market is extremely popular not only with the
residents of Sheffield, but its visitors also. The market
that is covered stands on the site of the old Norman Castle, which
was demolished back in 1648. However, if you would like to
see what this would have looked like, there is a door to the rear
of the market which you can go through and see the
ruins. The market itself today offers a wide
range of goods, but is well known for the fresh meat and fish that
can be found in the Fresh Food part.
Another very important place that many visitors to the town will
go to is the Crucible Theatre. Each year people who are
interested in the sport of snooker will come to this theatre to
enjoy the spectacle that is the World Snooker Championships.
But along with this there are plenty of other events that take
place here that one can enjoy as well.
