Travel Lodge Romford
The Travel Lodge, Romford is located in the centre of this very
provincial town on the outskirts of London in its Market
Place. Although there is not very much for one to do or see
in Romford itself, it does provide you with the ideal base for
being able to visit either England's capital, London or visiting
the South East coast.
Getting down to the South East coast is very easy as there are
trains that regularly depart from the Romford station. The
service run by National Express East Anglia will take you to two
main towns on the coast that of Clacton on Sea and Southend on
Sea.
Of the two Clacton on Sea is the largest town that one will find
on the Tendring Peninsula and which is situated in the county of
Essex. Originally, the town was founded back in 1871 and up
until the 1960's and 1970's was a popular holiday spot for those
living in London. However, over years it has seen a steady
decline in the number of holidaymakers coming to visit and is more
well known for being a place where people like to retire
to.
Even so, for those looking for an enjoyable day out, especially
during the summer this town still has lots to offer. As well
as the usual sea town arcades and pleasure pier, there is a great
golf course and the beaches still prove to be popular as
well. During the summer months along with its Carnival the
annual Airshow is something that many visitors to the town enjoy as
well.
