Travel Lodge Plymouth

The Travel Lodge, Plymouth is located in the very centre of the city right on the Derry's Cross Roundabout.  It provides you with the ideal location for being able to explore all that this city with its maritime past has to offer.  Even today, it is still one of the most important Royal naval bases in the UK today as well as being the largest operational one still to be found in Western Europe.

It is from this city, to me more precise "The Barbican" is where in 1620 the Pilgrims left to seek a new life in the New World.  Whereas today the city now houses England's fourth largest university.

There is plenty for one to do and see whilst staying in Plymouth and for those who are a little more active the countryside around offers the ideal facilities for walking and cycling.  Plus it is important to remember that Plymouth is located on the South West Coast of England and so if you are interested in water sports this is a great place to try some out.  Along with sailing, windsurfing, water skiing and diving, you may want to have a go at kayaking or canoeing as well.

However, if you find these water sports a little tame then if you visit Plymouth during July you will be able to watch and enjoy the annual Formula One Grand Prix Powerboat Races that take place here.  Plus there are plenty of other kinds of competitive water sports that take place here throughout the year.
