Travel Lodge London City

There are two Travel Lodge, London City locations that one can choose from.  One is actually located close to London City Airport (opposite to the runway), whilst the other is located close to Old Street Underground (tube) station.  But whichever one a person chooses to stay both offer affordable comfortable accommodation with good public transport links into the heart of London itself.

Certainly within a short period of time after hopping on the underground or catching one of the city's red buses you can be visiting some of the capital's major attractions.  One such attraction, which is proving extremely popular since it opened, is the Tate Gallery of Modern Art.  This is located on the South Bank of the Thames close to Southwark and Blackfriars Stations.

However, for those who are interested more in paintings by the old masters then a visit to the National Gallery should be high on their agenda.  This is located on the north side of Trafalgar Square and was found back in 1834 and today houses one of the greatest collections of art from around the world with works by Monet, Leonardo da Vinci and Turner to be found within its hallowed walls.

But for those who would like a little more color and vibrancy in their stay a visit to China Town should be included on your visit.  It is situated between Leicester Square and Shaftesbury Avenue.  Here you will have the chance to try a variety of different types of Chinese meals and if you are lucky get a chance to enjoy the Chinese New Year celebrations.
