Travel Lodge Leeds

There are two Travel Lodge Leeds hotels in which one can stay and use as a base for not only visiting attractions in the city of Leeds, but also the surrounding area.  However, what you will soon discover that there is plenty for one to do and see during a weekend in Leeds itself.

For those who are interested in learning more about the game of football then a visit to Elland Road football ground the home of Leeds United Football Club should be included during a visit.  In fact the team have been playing all their home games at this ground since the team was first formed back in 1904.  Although changes have taken place and today it is now an all seater stadium (no terraces for standing are available) it can still easily hold more than 40,000 people for a game.

Along with Elland Road another place that one may want to consider visiting during a stay in Leeds is the Armley Mills Industrial Museum.  This museum that provides you with information on Leeds industrial past is housed in a mill, which has been converted to house its many artefacts from the 18th and 19th Centuries.  It also provides you with more time to learn about the industrial revolution which took place and which helped to make England a force to be reckoned with.

As well as teaching you about the town's industrial history here you can learn more about the growth of the town's film industry as well.  In fact Leeds since the early 1900's has become well known for its film industry around the world today.
