Travel Lodge Glasgow

There are two main Travel Lodge, Glasgow hotels in which one can stay whilst spending time in this city.  But both of which are located in places that allow you quick and easy access to the many attractions that this vibrant Scottish city has to offer.  Below we take a look at some of the things one can do and see during time in Glasgow.

One of the most popular tourist attractions in the city is Glasgow Cathedral, which took more than two centuries to build.  Work commenced on the building in the 13th Century and was not completed until the 15th Century.  In fact, this is now the only medieval cathedral that is still to be found intact on the Scottish mainland.

Another attraction that is also extremely popular with visitors to the city is The People's Palace.  Within this building is housed a social history museum which allows you to see what live has been like in Glasgow from 1750 to present day.

Along with the historic artefacts that the museum has, there are paintings, prints and photographs, which clearly show what live has been like for those who live in this city.  Plus there are plenty of activities that will keep those visiting the museum engaged.

However, after taking in all the city's social history why not visit the Winter Gardens, which are attached to this building.  Here you can spend time walking around enjoying the tropical plants that are housed in the Victorian glasshouse before enjoying a bite to eat in the café.
