Travel Lodge Docklands

The Travel Lodge, Docklands, London is located close to an area of the city where some of the major financial businesses are located.  It is also located close to the London's City.  Although some distance from the center of London the public transport links into it are very good. 

Along with the more traditional bus services and also taxis there is the Dockland's Light Railway service as well.  However there are plenty of things to do and see when you are actually staying in the docklands. 

One such place you want to visit is the Museum, which is to be found at West India Quay and is a part of the Museum of London.  The museum is actually housed in an old warehouse and provides you with a history of London's dock and how they played such a major role in this city's development through the centuries. 

Also to be found in West India Quay is the Robin Gallery where you can see one of the world's oldest and complete steamships.  The Gallery is named after the ship SS Robin and now houses a large collection of works of art from around the world.  But also here you will find works by some of the areas local artists also. 

However if you would like to get quickly into the heart of England's capital city then from Canary Wharf Pier you can hop on one of the high speed ferries.  But if you would like to take a more leisurely trip up the River Thames then board one of the pleasure cruisers instead.
