Travel Lodge Derby

The Travel Lodge, Derby is situated on a retail park in a place close to Derby and is about 3 miles away from the town's center.  However, parking at the hotel is limited as there are only 50 spaces available.

When you are visiting Derby one of the most popular attractions you are likely to go to is the Cathedral.  This houses a number of historical treasures including the Bakewell Screen, Joseph Wright's Tombstone and a monument to Bess of Hardwick.  Also you may want to explore the Cathedral's splendid 10th Century medieval tower as well.

But along with the things that we have mentioned above this building offers you as a wealth of other experiences for you to enjoy.  It has a Biblical Garden and Treasury and various exhibitions also take place here throughout the year.  Plus if you are starting to feel a little tired and hungry as you wander around take time out and try some of the locally made produce in the coffee shop.

Another place that is visited by people from around the world is Donington Park a haven to British Motor sport.  It is here that throughout the year different motor sports take place from races for the British Touring Car Championship, British Superbike Championship and of course not forgetting the World Moto GP (Motorbikes) race also.  Certainly for those interested in motor sports this is one place that they should visit including a tour of the Park's Motor Museum as well.  Plus on race days you may actually get to see some of your favorite motor sporting heroes as well.
