Travel Lodge Coventry
There is no actual Travel Lodge, Coventry but there are plenty
to be found in towns that are only a short traveling distance
away. These Travel Lodges will still provide you with the
ideal base for exploring not just Coventry but the surrounding
areas as well.
When visiting Coventry one of the most popular attractions that
tourists choose to go to is the Cathedral. Not only can you
take a walk around the Cathedral that is currently standing, but
you can also spend time walking around the ruins of the old one as
well.
Also, for those who would like to learn more about the areas
history especially at a time when Roman's lived here then a visit
to Lunt Roman Fort should be included. Here they have spent
time actually carrying out a partial reconstruction of what such
Roman 1st Century Forts would have looked like. In fact, the
site itself dates back to around 60AD and is thought to have been
built by the Roman Legions when they were fighting Boudica and her
tribesmen.
For the children who are with you then arrange a visit to
Coventry Toy Museum. Here you will find a selection of
wonderful toys that have been collected dating as far back as the
1740's. In fact, this collection of toys that have been put
together by the museum's owners (Ron and Sonya Morgan) is one of
the finest in all of the UK today. Plus they are always
adding to their collection on a daily basis.
