Travel Lodge Cambridge

The Travel Lodge, Cambridge hotel that is located on the outskirts of this historic city and is renowned around the world for its universities.  Here you will find students of all nationalities living in the student accommodation whilst they study for their degrees.

But for visitors to this beautiful and romantic city there is plenty of attractions that will keep them amused during their time here.  One such place is the Bridge of Sighs, which helps to connect the two sides that make up St John's College.  The bridge itself is named after the one that you will find in Venice and the only think that they have in common apart from their names is that they are both covered.

Certainly today, this is one attraction that all visitors to the city will ensure that they spend time at.  Just as Queen Victoria did when she visited the city and would spend time just standing on it and watching the boats as they went below it.

Another place that many tourists like to visit when in Cambridge especially Americans is the Cambridge American Military Cemetery.  This is located in a place called Coton and the 30.5 acres were donated by the University of Cambridge.  Although the scenery in which it is located is truly splendid for many it is a chance to see where they can spend time remembering those who died during the Second World War whilst they serve in England.    The cemetery and the memorial were designed by Perry, Shaw, Dean and Hepburn from Boston, Massachusetts whilst the gardens where designed by the Olmsted Brothers from Brookline in Massachusetts.
